Integration Scenarios
Each scenario page walks one integration goal end to end: the feeds involved, the workflow, request and response samples, and the refresh strategy that keeps it current. Both build on the same foundations, so read Probabilities API Basics and Probabilities Fundamentals first if you have not already.
The Scenarios
| Scenario | Scope | Build this when you need |
|---|---|---|
| Tracking Win Probabilities | Event | A win-probability figure next to a matchup, a live probability graph, or a completed game's probability curve |
| Seasonal and Outright Probabilities | Season | Playoff odds tables, division race trackers, and title likelihoods across a season |
Where to Start
| If you are building | Start with | Then add |
|---|---|---|
| A live win-probability graph or gamecast | Tracking Win Probabilities | The Timeline pull for post-game recaps |
| A playoff odds or division race table | Seasonal and Outright Probabilities | Tracking Win Probabilities for game-day movement |
| Matchup previews with a probability figure | Tracking Win Probabilities | Seasonal and Outright Probabilities for season context |
| An odds product that also shows probabilities | The Odds Comparison guide | Either scenario; the two APIs share sport event IDs |
Before You Build
- Check live coverage before promising in-play updates: the Sport Competitions feed's
live_coverageflag marks competitions covered live end to end, andsport_event_status.livemarks individual events (see Probabilities Fundamentals) - Date-scoped requests use the UTC date, so a US evening slate lands on the following UTC date
- Decide your ID strategy up front: URNs as primary keys,
uuidsfor joins to the League Specific APIs (see ID Handling) - Check the Update Frequencies chart before choosing polling cadences
