Probabilities API Overview
The Probabilities API delivers Sportradar's calculated outcome probabilities for sport events: who is likely to win, expressed as percentages that update before and during play. Where the Odds Comparison APIs answer "what prices are bookmakers offering", the Probabilities API answers "how likely is each outcome".
The API provides:
- Pre-match probabilities for upcoming events (2-way or 3-way, matching the sport's outcome structure)
- Live probabilities that recalculate through play for competitions with live coverage, with score and game-state context attached
- A probability timeline per event: every probability change from first estimate to the final 100 percent
- Seasonal probabilities across a whole season's events in one paginated feed
- Seasonal outright probabilities: title, division, and playoff-reach likelihoods per competitor

}Per-competition coverage within a sport, including whether live probabilities are calculated, comes from the Sport Competitions feed's live_coverage flag; see Probabilities API Basics.
How It Fits with Odds Comparison
The Probabilities API shares its identifier scheme with the Odds Comparison packages: the same sr:sport_event: ID resolves in both, and each competition record exposes the GUIDs (uuids) that link it to the League Specific APIs. A single discovery pass can therefore feed odds boards and probability displays together; see ID Handling.
How the Guides Are Organized
The map below shows the three tiers; each pill links to its guide.
A 60-Second Look at the Data
A completed game's timeline tells the story in three points (trimmed from its 1,181 points): the home side opened at 57.1 percent, fell to 7.7 percent while trailing 0 to 3, and finished at 100 percent after a comeback win:
