Integration

How do I access your images with my API key?

To retrieve Sportradar's images you will need to pull a manifest file (for either action shots, players, coaches, venues, logos, or flags). Within each manifest you will find asset IDs (including syntax) for corresponding images located within each API.

Why are my API requests less for Images compared to other products?

The intention is for you to save each image on your end as requests are made, reducing the number of times needed to call the collection APIs. In addition, make use of the Change Log endpoint to catch updates to headshots and logos.

Do any Image API endpoints support pagination?

No. All content within a manifest is available in one request. If you do not receive a full response after 60 seconds, attempt a reconnect.

Headshots

When do yearly headshots typically become available?

Click here for a headshot availability schedule by collection and provider.

Do you have headshots for coaches and managers?

Yes. Some coaches and managers are available in the Player Manifest endpoint for the AP, Getty, Reuters, and Imagn collections. Images are typically limited to NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB.

The frequency and volume of these headshots vary depending on league and media day availability. In some leagues, only head or assistant coaches will sit at media day, and it may not be every year. Other leagues, like the NFL, may have 10+ coaches sit each year.

Note: Image IDs for player and coaches are dependent on their presence in the corresponding Sportradar data API.

How long are your action shots available?

Action shot manifests and images are retained for 2 years.

How frequently do your action shots update?

We retrieve all available action shots every ten minutes from our providers.

College Pressbox Headshots

What is included in the College Pressbox offering?

2024 College Pressbox content includes:

NCAA Football (FBS)
NCAA Men's Basketball (D1)
NCAA Women's Basketball (D1)

In 2025, we expect to include FCS schools for NCAA Football

When do College Pressbox headshots typically become available?

Seasonal headshots are updated starting one month prior to a season. Headshots are updated into the first few weeks of a season, as teams make them available.

Are College Pressbox headshots included in the Change Log endpoint?

No. We plan on including College Pressbox images in the Change Log in the coming seasons.
