Basketball APIs – Deleted Games, All-Star Flag, and Estimated Return Date

We've added support for deleted games across our basketball APIs, plus an All-Star Game flag (NBA, WNBA) and an estimated return date for injuries (NBA, WNBA). All changes are in version 8, in JSON and XML.

• deleted: true when a game has been removed from coverage (for example, a duplicate or erroneously created game). The flag is present only when true. NBA, WNBA, NCAA Men's Basketball, NCAA Women's Basketball, NBA G League, Unrivaled.
• deleted_games: an array of removed game IDs in each league's Schedule endpoint.
• is_all_star_game: true on All-Star games in the Schedule endpoint, and absent on every other game. NBA and WNBA.
• estimated_return_date: the date a player is expected to return from injury, on each injury in the Injuries and Daily Injuries endpoints. Optional; present when an estimate is available. NBA and WNBA.

⭐ Benefit

Keep stored game IDs valid without re-ingesting the full schedule, label All-Star games without matching on titles, and show expected availability alongside a player's injury status.

📋 Recommended Actions

• Drop any stored game ID that appears in deleted_games, and exclude games flagged deleted from statistics, standings, and displays.
• Read is_all_star_game from the Schedule endpoint to label or filter All-Star games.
• Treat estimated_return_date as optional and show it next to the injury status when present.
