Integration Scenarios

Integration Scenarios are task-focused guides that walk through building a specific golf feature end to end: which feeds to call, in what order, and how to handle the edge cases. Each one assumes the vocabulary in Fundamentals and the request basics in API Basics.

If you are not sure where to start, use the matrix below.

The Scenarios

ScenarioWhat you build
Pulling Tournament SchedulesA season calendar, and the tournament.id values that drive every other feed
Retrieving Player Details and StatisticsPlayer profiles, season statistics, and world rankings (with the non-PGA fallback)
Tracking Live TournamentsA live leaderboard and hole-by-hole scoring during play
Tracking PlayoffsDetection and display of extra-hole playoffs
Monitoring Team EventsRosters, sessions, and standings for cup events (Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup)
Monitoring Data ChangesEfficient incremental updates driven by the Daily Change Log

Two cross-cutting references support all of these: the Tournament Status Workflow page (status semantics) and Update Frequencies (polling cadence). For past seasons, see Historical Data.

Before You Build

  • Resolve a tour and season from the Seasons feed first; almost every scenario starts there.
  • Read the Tournament Status Workflow page so your state handling is correct from the start.
  • Size your polling against Update Frequencies, and prefer Push for live data where you are entitled.
  • New to golf concepts? Start with Fundamentals.
