US Football APIs – Team Points in Seasonal Statistics

We've added a points attribute to the Seasonal Statistics feed of our US Football APIs (NFL, NCAA Football, UFL). It appears alongside games_played on each team's record object (team totals) and opponents object (points allowed), giving the total points scored and allowed for a given team and season.

Build team season-points displays and points-for/points-against standings directly from Seasonal Statistics, without aggregating from League Leaders or summing game-level scores yourself.

📋 Recommended Actions

Read the points attribute from the record object (team totals) and opponents object (points allowed) on each team's Seasonal Statistics response.
Use these values to build team season-points displays, points-for/points-against standings, and point-differential calculations directly from a single endpoint.
If your NFL integration currently pulls team season points from the League Leaders scoring category, you can now read them directly from Seasonal Statistics instead.
Expect the attribute to appear consistently across NFL, NCAA Football, and UFL.
