Here’s what’s on deck in the coming weeks:

New Endpoints:

• Free Agents: Access a comprehensive pool of players who are not on active rosters, showcasing available free agents. This feature is invaluable during both the season and the offseason.
• Seasonal Awards and Honors: Dive into detailed data on awards like MVP, Rookie of the Year, and Manager of the Year for both leagues, including information on players, teams, and coaches.
• Officials: Get a complete list of all umpires in the league with their unique IDs and officiating tenures.

New Data Points:

Player:

• Salary: View annual base salary data for active roster players approximately a month before the season begins.
  Rookie Year: Discover each player’s rookie season dating back to 2000.
• Hall of Fame Year: Identify Hall of Fame inductees directly within our API.

Game:

• New Hitter Outcomes: Differentiate between automatic balls and strikes with new rules affecting all API versions.
  Error Types on Shift Violations: Detect when a fielder is charged with an error for touching the ball first during a shift violation.
• Statcast Metrics: Explore an array of new Statcast metrics, including sword swings, swing length, catch probability, and more in our Event Tracking endpoint.
• Score on a Play Level: Monitor game flow with precise event-level scoring updates.
• Delay Duration: Discover the length of game delays.
• Review and Mound Visit Information: Access high-level stats on used and remaining reviews and mound visits for each team.
• Catcher Interference: Analyze this new statistic to highlight when a batter reaches base by a rare play.
