# Overview

The UFL API delivers schedules, rosters, standings, statistics, and real-time scoring for the United Football League. Every game carries full play-by-play coverage, and all game data feeds update in real time as games are played.

This integration guide is a companion to the <Anchor label="UFL API reference" target="_blank" href="ref:ufl-league-hierarchy">UFL API reference</Anchor>. The reference documents every field of every feed; these pages show how the feeds work together: which feed answers which question, how IDs connect payloads, how fast data moves, and what a game looks like at each point in its lifecycle.

Start with **UFL API Basics** for authentication, URL structure, and error handling, and **UFL Fundamentals** for the season model, league structure, and what changes coming from the NFL API. **ID Handling**, **Update Frequencies**, and **Game Status Workflow** are the cross-cutting references the scenarios lean on.

## What the API Provides

* **Schedules**: season, weekly, current-season, and current-week views with venue, broadcast, weather, and quarter-by-quarter scoring
* **Game detail**: live boxscores with drive and scoring-play detail, full play-by-play with per-play statistics, team and player game statistics, and game-day rosters
* **League structure**: hierarchy, teams, seasons, and postseason tournament feeds with brackets and seeds
* **Team and player data**: full rosters, player profiles, weekly depth charts, weekly injury reports, and daily transactions
* **Standings and statistics**: postgame standings with clinch markers and strength-of-schedule detail, plus seasonal team and player statistics
* **Change tracking**: a daily change log of modified entities plus deleted-game lists for reconciliation

Real-time delivery is also available through the <Anchor label="Push Events" target="_blank" href="ref:ufl-push-events">Push Events</Anchor> and <Anchor label="Push Statistics" target="_blank" href="ref:ufl-push-statistics">Push Statistics</Anchor> feeds; the [Push Feeds](https://developer.sportradar.com/football/docs/ufl-ig-push) page covers the subscription workflow.

## The League at a Glance

The UFL plays a spring calendar: a 10-week regular season from late March through May, followed by a postseason of two playoff games and the United Bowl championship in mid June. The 2026 season restructured the league into a single UFL Conference table of eight teams.

If you already integrate the NFL API, the feed shapes here will feel familiar; what changes is the rulebook, and the differences surface directly in the payloads:

* **Conversions worth one, two, or three points**: read each scoring play's `score` object rather than assuming values; the [Tracking Live Games](https://developer.sportradar.com/football/docs/ufl-ig-tracking-live-games) scoring step shows the pattern, and one-point conversion kicks appear as standalone `extra_point` plays
* **Four-point field goals** from 60 yards and beyond, with dedicated `attempts_60` and `made_60` buckets in seasonal statistics
* **An onside scrimmage alternative** to the onside kick, tracked under `efficiency.onside_scrimmage` in seasonal statistics
* **A shootout-style overtime**, which surfaces through the play-by-play detail categories

UFL rules change season to season, so re-check the <Anchor label="UFL Rules" target="_blank" href="ref:ufl-overview">UFL API overview</Anchor> rule set each spring; a season's payloads reflect the rules in force when it was played.
